Paper art for Jack and Molly

Check out the super cute paper tolle artworks we picked up for the kids. They are handmade and very clever. This lady also does family portrait pics into paper, so we might get her to do the family.

Jack loves his Taekwondo boy!

KTX train is very cool!

Rode the KTX to Seoul today for a meeting... I know, it all sounds glamorous! The train ride was smooth, quiet and 50 mins to Seoul station. I also got to see Seoul station at 8.30 am... rush hour and a crush!

We will definitely take the KTX to Seoul again as it was so easy- and so cool to be travelling at 300km/h!

Eating out Korean/Pearse style

Wen to a great Korean BBQ Fri. night. The food was yum... but hey check out the table in the after shot. Best thing about sitting on the floor- one can recline at the end of the meal. Don't see the kids?!?- well they were playing in the indoor play centre- HAPPY DAYS!!!!!!!

The weather was cool today- first time we have really seen the mountains clearly- some exploration needed there!

Kids first official school day and pics from our balcony

I took some snaps today- you can see the smog is bad today.

This view is amazing at night when everything lights up.

Had to take the first day of school snap- amzing that we have had 2 this year!

Pete and I survived our first day of teaching- I had a full day- 5 lessons, Pete the bludger only had 2. Tomorrow I don't teach... now that's nice.

We found a place to get Tim Tams here- I think you have to buys several packets at once... oh well!

Eating out in Daejeon

The food in this place was amazing. Aussie beef is huge here- it's advertised everwhere and seen to be the premium product.
Our meal in "Manna House" was beef with rice and lettuce rolls. We cooked the bef in boiling stock at our table, then had noodles in the same pot and vege and well as great side dishes. We sat on the floor, but the area under the table was sunken so we were not having to sit cross legged. It was very hot and steamy in the restaurant because of the pots of boiling stock and burners on the tables. It was well worth it though- Delicious!

Welcome to Daejeon

A very busy city... and the school is literally right in the heart with shops outside the front gate. I'm not quite sure how they managed to get a full coach sized bus down those streets.

Seoul Markets

This place was awesome! Anything you could possibly want was there. We bought little and only had 2 hours there- you could spend days there. We enjoyed the fresh dumplings and molly was treated like a dolly princess by the locals.
