We had another funny clash of cultures experience this last week with Thanksgiving dinner in Korea.
There was so much good food and of course Kimchee to go with everything! Kimbap next to Turkey is so funny. For the Americans this is almost as big as Christmas for them.
Some of these people seriously know how to cook and bake- especially pies! My favourite was the caramel, banana pie and the white chocolate cookie cheesecake.
Our kids were super and Peter and I could relax and enjoy the night.
The kitchen ajama's here had been cooking all afternoon to get this ready. They eat with us and then stay to pack up. These ladies truly are amazing and work so hard.
Our gym never looked so good!

Nana and Pa Pearse at 90
On the weekend we attended Marg and heidi' half way to 90 party. We all dressed up in what we thought we would look like when we are 90 (we hope to get there). Interestingly we all dressed for comfort and were a little clumsy with our choice of accesories and make up!

Meeting Santa
Yesterday was a big day for our children... they got to meet and talk to Santa.
Jack had carefully written his letter and I helped Molly write hers. They were a little nervous to see Santa, but Santa was so excited to see them and read their lists. He put them into his jacket "close to his heart".
As you can see, both are excited and looking forward to Santa coming.
Now... as long as they don't change their minds between now and Christmas.

H1N1 Buddies
Yes, officially the Pearse house is suddenly the house of pestulance and flu!!!!!
This is the mildest flu I have seen and our kids are doing well. It's the 7 day quarantine that hurts!!!!!!
Here are some pics of our crab friends. Alas Molly's "Jewelly Kitty" died yesterday (sssh, don't tell her that)We are hoping the other 2 hang in there. Can you tell which one she chose?

H1N1 for Jack... just an entree' size fortunately
So Jack came down with this last Friday. He has bounced back pretty well and no side effects from the Tamiflu, so we are thankful for that. Unfortunately or fortunately he has to be in quarantine for 7 days. So Peter and I are tag teaming with the home schooling at home.
Today was science day. We learned about heat energy, made a word wall, poster, experiments... it went off. Mummy is very tired tonight!
