Day 4 Beijing

This was a big tourist day for us.
We started at the zoo with the giant pandas, then went to the Summer Palace and after lunch to the Olympic venues. On the way back we had a quick stop at Dr Tea for a tea ceremony.

Day 3 Beijing- The Great Wall

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2050999&id=1077536424&l=9f706ed303

Day 3 of our trip was a highlight with our trip to the Great Wall.
I cannot begin to explain how amazing this structure is and how mind boggling the task to create this wall in such rough terrain.
We will remember this day forever!
This lady brought the wrong shoes for the occasion- best not mess up her high heel boots... so she had slippers on from the motel she was staying in. Her nice hubbie was carrying the boots for her.

Pearse family in Beijing- Days 1 and 2

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2050908&id=1077536424&l=aff10cf576

We were so fortunate to spend 6 days in Beijing.
Day 1 and 2 included our arrival, accomodation, walk along Wangjufung street, Tiannamen Square, Forbidden City, Rickshaw ride and Hutong and then acrobatics show.
Here we are trying to look fierce with the Terracotta warriors.

The acrobatics show was an absolute highlight for all of us.
We have never seen such fantastic skills- too amazing to actually explain- juggling, balancing, contortionists, slack wire, pole balancing, bicycle balancing, juggling umbrellas just to name a few.

Happy cold Thursday...

Yes we had more snow on Wed night.
I have never seen such FAT snow. It was like it was raining cotton balls from the sky. So Thursday began as a winter wonderland and ended with a slushy mess!
Jack was super excited that he may get to use his sled... but by the time school was over... the snow had gone :(

Taking a walk on a snowy day

Facebook Your Photos - Taking a walk on a snowy day: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2049444&id=1077536424&l=6a00af6f4a

What an amazing view from our window this morning. After work I decided to take a walk to catch the last (maybe) snofall this year.
As I am now a snow expert... this snow was wet- meaning it stuck to everything and created the most magical scenes we have had this winter. Enjoy the pics!

Snow in March

A stolen pic of our field and surrounds... a cancelled game of soccer today and I guess Softball in the gym again! (it's snowy, its muddy and its frozen all in one!)

But look how pretty the trees look in the background.

Volleyball season

The last 2 weekends have been spent travelling with 6 volleyball teams and 20 Table tennis students to Seoul. (that's about 90 students)
This weekend was special because TCIS MS finally have their own brand spanking uniforms.
So we Christened them with some sweat, no blood fortunately and a lot of laughs... oh yeah and we played well too!
GO MS DRAGONS!!!!!

The new TCIS Intramurals and PE uniform

Just another day at the office... hardly.
After about 9 months of proposals, samples, designs, more samples, countless trips and emails from the supplier, many PTA meetings, costings... it is done!
The students will now have their own PE uniform for class and Intramurals uniform when they represent the school. We think they look smashing!
Jack and Molly are modelling their very own uniforms.
Molly of course had to 'upstyle' hers with a pink skirt and jewels... What can I say?

The Middle School kids are absolutely thrilled with htem.
It was such fun to see them all wearing them in PE class today!
Go TEAM PEARSE!!!!!!!
