The reading bug and Korean elections... with dancing!
A few nights ago, Jack reached a big milestone with his reading and that was 200 nights for the year.
We have a reading diary that we fill in each night and every 25 nights there are stickers for recognition.
Last year we didn't make it to 200, so Jack was thrilled to pass it easily.
He go to choose the celebration and chose Papa John's for pizza. It was a fun night with the family away from the pressure of deadlines and reports for a while.
We are proud of Jack and his perseverance towards his reading and other school work. He is an amazingly well-organized 8 year old!
Great job Jacko... and that is why he is a grade level above with his reading age!

The Korean elections are happening tomorrow and who knew elections were so much fun in this country.
Everywhere you go in this city there are packs of dancing people who are basically advertising for the candidates.
They wear coordinated outfits, have music blaring and stand on the corners of major intersections dancing... all day!
Come rain or shine they are there... and they even have matching rain ponchos when the weather is bad.
