We made it... the school opens!

Jack and Molly ready to go off to school for the 2012/13 school year.
Yesterday was a huge day in the life of our school as we opened the new Techno Valley campus to students.
It is not many or even ever in the life of a teacher that you get to actually be part of building a new school and then moving into it.
It has been a very busy 10 days prior to the opening trying to get everything in order and clean and fixed and finished for the start of the year.
While it is not perfect, it is jolly close.
Here are some pictures leading up to and including the first day of school.

Back in Korea after a long vacation....

We have arrived back in Korea after leaving on June 4th, spending a month in the US and then a month in Australia.

We really enjoyed our travels in the States, visiting NYC, Washington DC, Chicago, St Louis, Minneapolis, Seattle, Driving Highway 101 to San Francisco through the Redwoods and then finally Disney Land in Anaheim. We enjoyed visiting with US friends in St Louis, Seattle and Minneapolis.
Ask the kids what their favorite place was... Disneyland. I think it pretty much is a given isn't it! Here is a slideshow of our first stop- New York City. I absolutely loved Manhattan and could quite easily live there. It really is a fabulous, multi-cultural city and Central Park makes it so livable. I can't wait to go back and explore more!
