Exploring Daejeon

Finally the weather is starting to fine up and the blossoms are out in earnest.
On Saturday morning we watched our 'lady dragons' soccer team play in the APAC tournament. This year TCIS hosted 5 teams from all over Hong Kong, Shanghai and Manilla. The tournament was held at one of the Universities as our field is neither large enough or level enough for this tournament.
The University grounds are quite pretty as they are on the outskirt of town and have a lot of blossom trees there.
After the game was done we decided to explore one of the surrounding areas called Gyejoksanseong. Peter has climbed to the top, but the aim was just to find a nice spot, walk for a while and relax.

This area was a place to take off your shoes and 'massage' your feet on the stones. Most were smooth but after 50 metres of these stones, my feet felt more than 'massaged".
After catching the bus back into Daejeon we had a snooze and then went back to the soccer field to watch the girls play off for the Championship. Most of the school was there to watch and it was a great home game atmosphere. The girls played really hard and really well. Unfortunately they lost that game, but finished second in the tournament.
It was a good Saturday!
